The racial makeup of the CDP was 68.93% White (58.1% were Non-Hispanic White,) 22.59% African American, 0.40% Native American, 1.18% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 3.20% from other races, and 3.66% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 16.03% of the population.There were 3,118 households out of which 22.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.9% were married couples living together, 12.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 44.4% were non-families. 38.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 24.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.15 and the average family size was 2.79.
