Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly

Welcome to the headquarters building of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA) and the Goldsboro Disciples Institute (GDI).

The Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ consists of six districts in America, each governed by a presiding district bishop and cabinet with various subsidiary presidents who oversee work in Missions, Sunday School Education and Youth, Bible institutes for ministerial and advanced training, boards for ordination and council (church discipline), choirs, nurses units, and usher boards.

Bishop Chester L. Aycock has served as the Presiding Bishop and Richard W. Johnson as the Vice-Bishop of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly since October 1999. This Assembly currently consists of 78 stateside churches and 64 churches in Ghana, WA and the Caribbean.
