Goo Goo Clusters

America’s first combination confection, the Goo Goo Cluster, was invented in Nashville, TN in 1912. A roundish mound of marshmallow nougat, caramel, and fresh roasted peanuts, all covered in real milk chocolate, the Goo Goo Cluster is truly one of the sweetest Southern traditions.

In 2012, Standard Candy Co. celebrated 100 years of Goo Goo Clusters. In preparation for this historic event, the management at Goo Goo Cluster, LLC (a subsidiary of Standard Candy Co. that manages the Goo Goo Cluster brand) completed an overhaul of the brand that included refinements to the logo and images of the brand, new packaging and a return to the “clean” ingredient declaration that inventor Howell Campbell incorporated into the first Goo Goo Clusters.

In 2014, Goo Goo Cluster opened their flagship retail store in downtown Nashville, just steps from the famous honky tonks on Broadway. The Goo Goo Shop is paradise for your sweet tooth. With fresh-baked desserts, milkshakes, sundaes, and house-made confections, there is truly something for everyone!
