Good Hope, the 1st "colored church" in Currituck County was founded by former slave Rev. Andrew Cartwright in 1866. Realizing the need of his people for a place of worship; the church was located approximately in the middle of the "colored population" of Currituck. Today's membership is comprised of 3rd and 4th generation of Good Hope members. We invite everyone to come and fellowship in the love and joy of Jesus Christ with us.
