Welcome aboard!
We are boat owners who enjoy boating on the Portage Lakes, having picnics, parties, bonfires, and lots of summer fun. (We are not a boat rental) We are a private club. All potential new members must request membership and be sponsored by an existing member. Membership is dependent upon a vote of the current club members. A membership fee is required. Goodyear Boating & Yachting Association was established in 1955 on Cottage Grove Lake, part of the Portage Lakes State Park.

The Club features a private boat launch, secure parking area, docks for members use, a large picnic pavilion with a complete kitchen facility and a playground for small children, all in a park like atmosphere. The pavilion with or without the kitchen is available for rent to our members for large gatherings.

The Club members enjoy many social activities and events. Social activities and events vary from year to year depending on the Program Chairperson and the volunteers organizing the events/activities. Below is a list of some of our typical events/activities:

Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month during warm weather on the Club's grounds. Come aboard!
