Gopal's Healthfoods

Gopal's Healthfoods begins with the story of a man inspired to share the spirituality he had learned during his travels to India. Back in the United States, Stefan Knueppel began traveling the country in an RV, selling books about higher consciousness. But he soon realized that food might be a more effective way to reach people. He started in San Diego, California, making snack bars by hand, and distributing them to local health food stores. In no time at all, his “spiritual snacks” took off. In 2002, Stefan opened Gopal's Healthfoods, and introduced a new line of organic, raw, plant-based snacks.

Nestled in the heart of Texas, on 100 acres of prairie land, Gopal's has been developing its own unique brand of health food and selling it throughout the United States, and even internationally. That same land is also home to a cow protection project.

Gopal’s has many loyal customers throughout the country and the globe, many of whom enjoy sharing their love and excitement about these products, helping the company grow, and spreading that spirituality and vision. Many of the people who work at Gopal's live on-site and are part of a developing spiritual community.


Stefan saw a need for high-quality snack products. Along with his ingenuity and spiritual zeal, he creates products that represent his vision. Soon, the line would expand to include a variety of unique, quality products such as the Power Wraps, Rawma Bars, Rawmesan, Sprouties, and a diverse assortment of nut and seed butter, quickly becoming legendary among the raw and plant-based communities.
