The School District of Palm Beach County selected the architectural team of MPA Architects and Tercilla Courtemanche Architects and construction management team Hedrick Brothers Construction and Asset Builders for the $28 million modernization of Gove Elementary School in Belle Glade. The 121,000 SF campus will accommodate 924 students for kindergarten through sixth grade. It will include new classrooms, kitchen and cafeteria, administrative offices, media center, clinic, covered play area, playgrounds, playfield, bus loop, parent drop-off and pick-up, and parking. This LEED registered project is anticipating silver certification underneath LEED for Schools. Site preparation begins in November 2011, followed by vertical construction in March 2012 with expected completion for the 2013 school year.
