Grace Church, Elmwood Park, IL

On the corner of Harlem and Schubert in Elmwood Park, Grace Lutheran Church is a welcoming, dynamic faith community dedicated to following Christ together. All people are welcome here - no exceptions, ever. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and we share its vision of "God's Work, Our Hands." We gather on Sundays for faith formation for all ages at 9 A.M. and worship at 10 A.M. For information on other events at Grace, check out our website.

At the heart of everything we are and everything we do is the love of Jesus Christ - a love so great that Christ is willing to die on our behalf to free us from sin and bring us into new life! To live out that love, we hold to some core values:

-It's all about Christ at Grace. All we are is only because of all Christ is.

-We believe that Christ's love is for everybody without exception, and so we welcome everyone at Grace - no exceptions, ever.

-Everything we do flows out of worship. God's Word - in scripture, in prayer, in song - and the special gifts God gives us in the Sacraments of Baptism and Communion are meant to shape us and form us by faith into people who love God and love all our neighbors.

-Worship might happen on Sunday morning at 10 AM, but it's about the other 6.5 days of the week, equipping us to live out Christ's love every day.

-Everyone at Grace is a minister, not just the pastor!

-God gives everyone gifts and talents to help share Christ's love. We give thanks for those gifts every time we get together, and we talk about how to use them!
