Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church

Grace is located in the Lakeview neighborhood at 5800 Canal Blvd. (where I 610 passes over). We have a parking lot. Our outreach includes Caring Ministry for shut-ins, an active program for young people, a Sunday School program during the school months, a music ministry that includes both contemporary and traditional styles. We have an historic organ and a great organist, We have an exceptional Adult Bible class every Sunday morning and a Coffee Talk forum for the younger set as well. We have numerous outreach programs to the Community including Food Bank Collections and work with others in relocation of the homeless. We also have an outreach focusing on humane treatment of animals.
We are a Recovery Church, having come back from total Katrina ruin and now are giving back to others by housing several 10's of volunteer workers from all over the US every week. We have been doing this ever since we recovered in 2006.
