More about Graise Farm

GRAISE Farm is co-operated by Tiffany Tripp and Andy Olson who are compassionate about raising animals humanely and eating healthy, delicious food grown locally. GRAISE is not just a name. It’s an acronym that stands for:

Grassfed
Raised humanely
Animals
In a
Sustainable
Environment

Animals at GRAISE Farm have daily access to the outdoors and to fresh sunlight from dawn to dusk. For the best tasting and nutritious food, animals should live a happy, healthy life. That's why Andy & Tiffany spend time with their animals daily and assure that they have room to run, root, play and dig up insects and eat grass(when in season) things that animals do naturally.

At Graise, there is a small flock of 50 chickens that are fed certified organic grains. Mostly Buff Orpingtons and Rhode Island Reds, the cage free chickens at Graise live in an old milking parlor converted into a coop with 480 sq ft and two levels for the chickens to run, jump or fly around. Free range, the chickens have a spacious 2000 sq ft area where they run and roam outside daily. This area is protected by a solar powered electric poultry netting to keep the chickens safe from local predators such as coyotes, raccoons and dogs.

Pigs on Graise Farm also enjoy a spacious area to run and they freely eat certified organic feed. In the summer and fall months, the pigs are raised on pasture where they graze on has a variety of forages as well woodlands so they can root up nuts like acorns and black walnuts. They live primarily outdoors and are protected by a 2-strand electric polywire fence that is powered by solar energy and have shelter to protect them from the rain. Daily garden hose showers are given on hot days to make sure that they stay cool as pigs do not sweat.

In the winter months, pigs at Graise Farm live in an old red barn and are provided daily access to the outdoors. Outdoors they enjoy a large fenced in area that is woodlands with small hills to provide the pigs entertainment and an area run and root in the cold, snowy months.

The farmers of Graise want consumers to enjoy delicious tasting food from a local farm where animals enjoy a happy, healthy life.
