Grammy’s House offers a safe and accepting environment for children of all abilities and cultures to explore their world through the power of play, art and just plain getting dirty.

Our staff prides itself on forming a classroom environment that flexes with the flow of our children and addresses the individual and group needs of the children.

While you will find our room decorated with numbers and letters, you will also find our walls adorned with the many works made by our children through open-ended art experiences and teacher-led projects. We emphasize the importance of play in early childhood. Play can enable children to explore their world, develop cultural understandings, express thoughts and feelings and allow children to meet and solve problems on their own terms.

At Grammy’s House, we value the intrinsic worth of each child and work to recognize the individual gifts that each child can bring to our classroom. We believe that a positive, accepting and peaceful preschool classroom lays the foundation for children to develop mentally, emotionally and physically.
