More about Gravity Falls Motorsports

God, Children, Family, Motorsports, and Shriners Hospital for Children in 2016

To kick off the 2016 events, Gravity Falls Motorsport Cruise-in will be held in Morehead, Kentucky on May 6th, 6 p.m. -9 p.m. Our Secretary Terry Knipp has organized a great kick off for the 4th Annual Armdrop Drags Weekend. Dash plaques for the Hot Rods, Handmade Trophies, Bouncy Houses for the Children, and Live Band for the Adults. DJ Wes Helterbrand will kick the night off, then turn it over to Harry and the Hoe Handles. This event will set the mode for Saturday Morning!

Return to Main Street in Morehead, Kentucky Saturday morning for the Annual Hot Rod Parade. Over 150 hot rods swarmed the street last year. Mayor Jim Tom Trent, Grand Marshall and Sheriff Matt Sparks (with special guest) will escort the hot rods on a 17 mile journey to I-64 Motorplex in Owingsville, Kentucky. Parade lineup is 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Sheriff Sparks and Mayor Trent welcomes everyone with a drivers meeting. At 10 a.m. cars will be escorted down Main Street (with the rumble of engines and Segar playing the background) to the 4th Annual Armdrop Drags. Be a participant or just watch with your family. Everyone is welcome to be a part. Rumor has Wade’s Garage from Fairmont, WV is participating again this year.

Also Remember When Cruiserz Car Club has organized another Annual Hot Rod Parade in Winchester, Kentucky. Rumor has it, they are going to out due the City of Morehead. Mayor Trent has challenged the City of Morehead crew to 250 cars this year. So Winchester let see what you got! More details about the Winchester Annual Hot Rod Parade will be posted as it becomes more finalized.

Gates open at 11 a.m. at I-64 Motorplex for yet, another great event. This year Gravity Falls Motorsports, Inc. has grouped together with some great people. Remember When Cruiserz Car Club from Winchester, Kentucky will be hosting for the 1st Annual Armdrop Drags Car Show. DJ Wes Helterbrand is providing the Rock-a-billy and fun filled music. If you get the fever you can drag races old school style because the Gravity Falls Armdrop Girls will be at the starting line waiting to see engines revving, rubber burning, hot rods wheeling, and winning lights shining.

Gravity Falls Motorsports, Inc. also made a few more friends along our journey. Street Outlaws television series on Discovery Channel, Wayne Varley and Gotee Bo from Oklahoma City is coming to show their support for Gravity Falls Motorsports and Shriners Hospital for Children. They will be making several passes during the afternoon. Be sure not to miss the GRUDGE RACE between them. The trash talk has already started between them. Check it out on our Facebook page, Gravity Falls Motorsports. I am sure it will be a long ride back to Oklahoma City for the loser! Stop by their booth for a meet and greet, have your photo taken sitting in Varley’s car or if you’re a racer, put your car on the starting line for a photo of your car and Varley’s. No one has to know you really didn’t race, only that you won, right? Gotee Bo told me there’s a rumor going around that he’s bringing a really cool hot rod part to be raffled off to benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Varley and Gotee Bo will not be racing anyone other than each other. They are under contract with the Discovery Channel and Gravity Falls Motorsports. Don’t ask!!! Period!!!

Hope to see you at the events!!
