Green Hen

I am the chief cardiology nurse practitioner at one of the countries leading centers in NYC. I am at the height of my career and I should feel accomplished. Ambition has always been my path to success but success has to be better than the grind of my workweek. I think it’s normal to want more of what life has to offer, but my reality is smack dab in the middle of the “sandwich generation” and I have become a couch potato. Did you ever feel like you are paddling to get ahead, but the trees behind you aren’t getting any smaller and the trees ahead of you aren’t getting any larger? Are you always keeping an eye on how close your payday is and having to create a game plan for how you’re going to make it to the next one? This was my harsh reality but I decided that this was not going to be the ending to my story.

Then something amazing happened to me! I was invited to a spa party. At first I didn’t want to go but then I thought a girls night out would be fun; I’d get off the couch; foot soaks and facials seemed like a nice way to spend the evening; so I said I would go; then I actually showed up; I spent an evening with a very energetic Area Manager Lauren Siegal, who told me about a white Mercedes the company vehicle. I was interested but really, follow a recipe and I could have a white Mercedes? Then I put my feet into a warm bucket of water and began to try some of the products. I heard about Arbonne a green company that was big on botanicals and all the products were pure, safe and beneficial. Goes hand and hand with my line of work, I promote health. I bought a product; booked a party; the next day I knew I was in trouble my skin was softer than it has ever been in my entire life; I needed more products; Good thing I booked a party. I wanted to become a consultant but I thought how could I do this? I never sold anything in my life and I didn’t have the time or the money. Then Lauren told me the products will sell themselves, she showed me how the business fits into the nooks and crannies of my life, and showed me how to start my business with zero investment. So I gave it a try because I had nothing to loose. There have been ups and downs, building a business doesn’t happen over night it takes persistence, but I can honestly say becoming an independent consultant for Arbonne has enriched my life in so many ways. I am no longer a couch potato; I am promoting a healthy lifestyle; and I am no longer living payday to payday.

My new motto is “ ambition is the path to success but persistence is the vehicle you arrive in”.
