HISTORY
A fresh concept in student housing, GreenPocket Studios began in 2011 as a project of Glass Brothers Development, and currently consists of 4 separate converted Farmhouse and Craftsman style co-housing facilities, each remodeled and updated to provide modern studio accommodations. With construction of brand new eco-green, sustainable units commencing in 2014 on wooded acreage on block from Navarro College, GreenPocket Studios is poised to offer an exciting new student lifestyle on a budget.

We are extremely proud to have been chosen by ASID Award Winning and nationally renowned interior design firm, Michael Merrill Design Studio, of San Francisco, to provide design services as part of his giving back to the community program. Michael’s renowned gift for understated warmth and gracious living will be evident throughout with individually selected furnishings from Ikea to keep our studios affordable for students. Also contributing to GreenPocket’s success are its locations – all one block away from Navarro College, where student housing demands far exceed available dormitory capacity. Many students, forced to seek off campus housing, find what is available to be old, substandard, expensive, not within easy walking distance to campus, and usually requiring them to cross busy Highway 31(also known as 7th Avenue) on foot – which can be dangerous.

GreenPocket crosses no busy streets, is actually as close to campus as many of the dorm rooms, and a fully furnished private living/sleeping studio, utilities paid with state of the art wifi & cable TV is often less than the cost of a twin bed in a shared dorm room.

STRATEGIC LOCATION
All GreenPocket Studios locations are a short one to two block walk to Navarro College, without crossing any busy streets. Navarro Mall, Aldi Supermarket, Super Wal-Mart, restaurants, convenience stores, and more are all within easy walking or biking distance less than a mile away.

CLEAN & SECURED
As shared co-housing facilities, residents are responsible for keeping both their studios and any common areas such as laundry, cooking, dining and bathrooms clean and tidy. Every individual studio locks securely. There are no posted curfews, but all tenants agree to quiet hours after 10PM weeknights and midnight on weekends for the common benefit of all.

HOME CONVENIENCE
All studios are air conditioned and heated with ceiling fans, and furnished with beds, closets or wardrobes and small tables. Some studios have private baths and kitchenettes, but all residents are welcome to bring their own mini-fridge and microwave, and may add additional furniture such as desk and chair with prior management approval. Common food prep areas are available for studios without kitchenettes featuring modern amenities such as safe, no heat induction cooking elements and microwaves.

SUPER SAVINGS
Furnished, private studios for individuals currently begin at $275 monthly plus a $79 common fee to cover all utilities plus wifi & cable TV. Shared studios for two or three roommates begin at $195 each plus a $59 common fee. Larger furnished studio suites with private baths and kitchenettes begin at $395 monthly plus $98 common fees for an individual occupant or $225 monthly plus $59 common fee each if shared by two roommates.
