Greenbrier Montessori School

Greenbrier Montessori School is nestled in the planned unit development zone of Greenbrier in Chesapeake, Virginia. We serve children ages 2 through 12 years old in our toddler, children’s house, and elementary programs.

The safe home-like atmosphere, boasts easy access from Interstate Highways and local roads alike. Here, Montessori methods are practiced within the tenets of its founder, Dr. Maria Montessori. Trained staff provide quality care and service to parents.

Greenbrier Montessori School prides itself on being small enough to know you, yet big enough to provide all that is necessary for optimum learning. We match parental intent with possible results, thereby involving the interested parent in every step of their child’s development. We believe that together we can achieve. Our goal remains “To enthuse the child to his innermost core.” (Dr. Montessori, 1921).

Greenbrier Montessori School was established in 1999 by Nneka Okala. Mrs. Okala strictly upholds the philosophy and teaching methods developed by Maria Montessori.
