Founded in 2015, the Ground Floor Gallery is a student-curated gallery space located north of the Irene Carlson Gallery of Photography on the ground floor of Miller Hall.
Offering University of La Verne students a professional and welcoming venue to display their photographic work, the gallery showcases the work of students active within the Photography Department. The gallery sponsors several exhibitions each academic year organized by the current student curator.
While encouraging and fostering the professional development of student photographers and curators, exhibitions further enhance the interdisciplinary mission of the Photography Department, engaging the entire university community into a deeper conversation about photography and its relevance across the traditional disciplines. In addition to creating a space for extracurricular photographic expression, the gallery provides the opportunity for experience in exhibition and gallery management to University of La Verne students.
