Hal Gottsacker, better known as Uncle Hal, began his career with Harley-Davidson Financial Services in 1977. After a successful run in the finance department of Harley-Davidson Hal was promoted to District Manager for the North East part of the US, including New York! To add to his accolades, Hal coordinated the ride across the Brooklyn Bridge down to Wall Street the first day Harley-Davidson went public on the NYSE.

In 1988, with a small loan from a friend and only 4 employees, Hal opened Alamo City Harley-Davidson in San Antonio, TX. 20 years, 120 employees and 4 locations later, Hal sold Alamo City which was also the largest Harley-Davidson franchise sale in the 105 years Harley-Davidson had been in existence. In addition to the Harley-Davidson franchises, Hal has also started businesses varying from a hot dog stand, a Go-Cart Track, a bar in downtown San Antonio, and was one of the original founders of the charity For the Love of Kids and Harleys.
Hal also has been a partial owner of an Indy Car Team at the Indy 500 on multiple occasions. Finishing 19th in 1994 with Lynn St. .James driving, 15th in 1995 with driver Hadishi Matsuda and finally 9th in 1996 with Robbie Buhl. He sponsored his nephew John "The Shark" Gottsacker with the Uncle-Hal brand to multiple National Championships in both Bandelero and Legends Car Racing. He sponsored and won 3 National Titles in Top Fuel Harley-Davidson drag racing and was even invited to Australia for the World Top Fuel Harley Nitro Shootout. Additionally, he sponsored and won 3 National Championships in AHDRA with rider, Michael Ray.
He himself has raced everything from a trash can lid down to a snow covered hill to die cast Matchbox cars down a plastic drag strip to Legend Cars and Tricked out Harley-Davidson dragsters. You name it, he's tried to race it. Do tricked out Belt Sanders down a wooden drag strip count? Of course they do and he's raced them.
With decades of successful businesses and accomplishments under his belt, Hal has shown no sign of slowing down.
