Grunts Move Junk and Moving Massachusetts

Joe Garcia enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2006 after graduating from Worcester Vocational High School. He then went on to graduate from Marine Corps Recruit Training on Parris Island, and shortly thereafter attended the School of Infantry where he trained to become an Infantry Rifleman. Joe was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina with 1st Battalion 2nd Marines during his time in the service, deploying to Iraq and The Republic of Georgia.

Joe was Honorably Discharged in 2010, when he enrolled at Quinsigamond Community College and completed his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Joe has worked for the Department of Correction and has also served as a Veterans’ Employment and Training Specialist for a non-profit organization. In his latest role, Joe learned about the issues surrounding veterans and the barriers to employment. Realizing he wanted to do more for our veteran community, he decided to start a Grunts Move Junk in Massachusetts, which would provide employment opportunities to veterans, and those with military values.
