Gulf Coast Composite Mountain Bike Team

We are a NICA Mountain Bike Team, based in the south Alabama. We compete in the spring NICA Alabama Mountain Bike League.

National Interscholastic Cycling Association (“NICA”) develops interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes across the United States. NICA provides leadership, services and governance for regional leagues to produce quality mountain bike events, and supports every student-athlete in the development of strong body, strong mind and strong character through interscholastic cycling.

The Alabama Interscholastic Cycling League was organized in 2015 to provide mountain biking programs for students in grades 6 to 12. With the cooperation of local volunteer coaches, schools, league partners, and sponsors we are able to provide a high quality youth development program that fulfills our mission of getting more kids on bikes. We believe that this program can serve as a gateway for those students looking to advance to elite level racing, while at the same time building a passion and love for the simple joy of pedaling a bike through the woods. Regardless of ability level, the Alabama League is committed to providing a positive experience for all student-athletes.
