Gypset Beauty Company

The inception of Gypset Beauty Company came from the vision of creator and owner, Kim Hightower.

Kim was inspired by her 10+ year journey in the prestige beauty industry and her never ending adventures and travels. Living life to the fullest and making people beautiful along the way had been a huge part of her journey. Having most recently spent 2 years in one of her favorite cities Nashville, Tennessee, she found herself returning to her roots and motivated to share her passion with the evolving city of Birmingham, Alabama.

A large majority of Kim’s cosmetic experience and training was profoundly shaped by the talented artists and mentors she worked with along the way. “I had the privilege to work with some of the worlds most talented makeup artist, remarkable leaders, and truly amazing human beings during my 7+ year career at MAC cosmetics. My experience there not only taught me about artistry, but leadership and life. I wouldn’t trade that gift for anything in the world.”

During her time in Nashville, Kim immersed herself in the fashion and beauty industry and was surrounded by wealth of talent and knowledge once again. She worked very closely with Nashville’s top country music artists & stylist gaining additional experience not only in her makeup artistry but in fashion/wardrobe styling as well.

She fell in love with the vibe of the city that was experiencing tremendous growth and influence from the West Coast, but still holding true to its southern charm. She took note of the innovative and creative luxuries the city had to offer and began to formulate a plan to bring a taste of Nashville to her new city.

Combining her newly ignited entrepreneurial sprit, with her passion for the beauty industry GYPSET BEAUTY COMPANY was born. Although her gypset travels have led her on one heck of a memorable ride, she followed her heart and her love back home to Alabama. Kim now resides in Birmingham with her favorite travel companions, her husband Rodney and her sidekick road dog Gavin.
