Habitat For Humanity - Lake County

Founded in 2001, Habitat for Humanity Lake County California has been in the business of providing high quality, affordable housing to low to moderate income Partner families in need. We are part of a global nonprofit housing organization, we are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. We advocate for fair and just housing policies, provide training and access to resources to help families improve their housing conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.

To date there are 16 houses built in the city of Clearlake and 1 completed in Lakeport. Currently, we are focusing on offering critical health and safety related repairs to those low-income homeowners in need in our county, and we need volunteers! Relying on volunteers, donations, and the contributions from our community to serve our citizens, we strive to better the living conditions of the residents of Lake County. We are continuously seeking the generosity of our community members. Together, we can make a difference not only for the families whose lives we touch directly through repair and self-help housing, but to the community as a whole.
