More about Hallelujah Baptist Church

Hallelujah Baptist Church was established on February 26, 1997, at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Nathaniel and Jessie Thomas.

We are an offspring of Temple Memorial Baptist Church. Our first pastor, Dr. Arthur Byrd held our first church service on March 2, 1997, at the S.E. Thomas Funeral Home in Thomasville, North Carolina.

After (6) six months in the funeral home God blessed us with a church home, at 2511 Guyer Street, in High Point, North Carolina. We are on a divine mission to continue in the service of the Lord, “Preaching, Teaching, and Demonstrating the Love of God daily.”

Since our conception, God has blessed us with a new pastor in the person of Minister George D. Steele, Sr. His ministry begins in 1993 under the tutelage of the late Dr. John Wesley Reed, at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC.

Membership has grown substantially with the addition of a fellowship hall, a van ministry, community health programs, youth programs, and an open door policy on how we may better serve as ambassadors of the King of Kings. We are grateful and in continuous praise to God for His many, many blessings.

We are truly thankful for all who have passed this way and grateful for those who chartered this ministry. Furthermore, we invite and encourage the fellowship of the saints, henceforth, now and forever more. Amen.

We have only God to thank for bringing us together, from New York, Pennsylvania, Jamaica, Maryland, Trinidad, South Carolina, California, Africa and parts far and between to High Point, NC.

Our backgrounds are as diverse and multicultural as the Word of God will allow, “If I be lifted, I will draw all men unto me.

” We are individuals with one calling and one hope. We believe that God Almighty has preordained, predestinated, appointed, and purposed the lives that we live.

We are thankful for his grace and mercy, for unlike some others we believe that we are saved by Him.

God is fully responsible for any Good done through us and by us. There is none good but the Father, so when we have done that which we have been command we say that we are unprofitable servants for we have done that which was our duty.

We believe and clearly state, “we are what we are by the grace of God.”

The family formed in Christ Jesus before the foundation of the world, is our family. We are a royal priesthood and a chosen generation.

We are born-again believers by the Spirit of God. We are sealed unto the day of redemption. We are His workmanship.

Our Father allows us to give Him all the glory and praise for our salvation. He is our creator and redeemer. We farther believe that we are kept by the power of God.

We base our beliefs solely on the Word of God. Believing in the Sovereignty of God leads us into Gods’ security and holiness. We make no claims of perfection but are children of a perfect God. Our salvation is anchored in the Lord.

Therefore we invited all, to come. Please come, just as you are, for God is able to save and deliver.
