Halsey Farm

Halsey Farm & Nursery, Inc. is owned and operated by Adam & Beth Halsey. We are located on the south shore of Long Island in Water Mill, NY. A member of the Halsey family has farmed our farm since 1747. Our ancestors raised livestock and produce for their families, as well as to barter and to sell to whaling ships docked in Sag Harbor. Today we are the 12th generation of Southampton farmers, and we continue this tradition with our diversified farming operation. Modern technology has replaced some of the older farming practices, but the goal of producing the highest quality products remains the same.

Our growing season begins in early spring in our greenhouses with a large selection of perennials, annual flowers and vegetable plants. Our retail greenhouse store opens each year on April 1st. Our greenhouse remains open through late June. Our knowledgeable staff is ready to help you plan your garden and flowerbeds.

We also grow some of the nicest California Privet hedge on Long Island. We have several sizes of privet available, which are dug to order so the plants that you purchase are as fresh as can be. Privet can be ordered at either our Nursery or the Farm Stand. **SOLD OUT Until September 2015**

Our Farm Stand opens each year in mid/late June, when our own field grown vegetables are ready. We offer a large assortment of vegetables and fresh cut flowers that are all grown on our 82 acres surrounding the farm stand. Our produce comes direct from the field to you for the freshest and highest quality and best taste. We also offer a selection of local fruits and preserves. Our farm stand remains open through late November.
