Hannah's Promise Pregnancy Life Center

Birthed from the heart of Center Bethel Church, Parsons, Kansas, Hannah’s Promise Pregnancy Life Center opened January 2014. We realized the need to offer real solutions by investing in opportunities for women who need help during a crisis pregnancy. Our conviction that, "Every Life Matter's to God,” propelled us to this wonderful project to save as many babies and families as possible. The vision of Hannah’s Promise Pregnancy Life Center is to be a place where young women who find themselves in the challenging situation of being pregnant with seemingly no life options, can find refuge, hope, and life possibilities.

The residential facility houses and serves up to six expectant mothers at a time, age 18+, who feel they are alone with little or no hope during their pregnancy. Women can apply anytime during pregnancy for residency at a Christ-like, loving atmosphere for women to experience true choice.

A personalized life plan is developed with each resident requiring school attendance or employment, medical appointments, life skills, nutrition, parenting classes, budgeting, referrals to mental health/substance abuse services if needed, and completing applications for housing. If a resident decides to make an adoption plan, staff assists in locating an adoption service to meet the needs of mother and child. Residents are responsible for doing their own laundry, cook at least one evening meal per week for the household, and complete weekly household chores. Residents apply for WIC, food stamps, and any other services available to them to help supply groceries for their consumption and meal preparation. Residents can receive visitors during scheduled visitation hours and can obtain one weekend pass/month to visit family or friends overnight. Although women have many freedoms, curfews are in place to ensure safety and health of residents.

A Resident Advisor lives at Hannah's Promise to help provide services to residents. Additional staff and volunteers assist with day-to-day operations, offer guidance to residents, and provide transportation to appointments.
