Hannelore Berken, Professional Birth Doula

A Birth Doula is there for support in many realms to aid in the facilitation of a healthy, empowering, and sacred birth throughout the prenatal, labor, and postpartum terms for both the parents and baby. A Birth Doula provides as much information (articles, evidence-based research, techniques) as possible to encourage and allow parents to make the most of their experience by making their own informed, conscientious decisions for their family. A Doula is also present to provide both physical and emotional support & overall guidance for the family.


I, Hannelore, have completed a 26-hour Birth Doula Training in Richmond, VA, as I work toward my certification with toLabor.
