Happily Ever After Daycare

Basic Information:
Happily Ever After is a fully licensed, family day home childcare center through the Department of Social Services for children ages 1-13. Hours of operation are 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. The childcare center complies with all Virginia licensing standards, such as emergencies, nutrition, and the care of children.

About the Provider:
Donna Loving has been the primary provider for Happily Ever After since its opening in 1998. Ms. Loving complies with all licensing standards by completing child development coursework throughout the year to ensure her teaching is up to date with current standards and best practices.

About the Space:
Happily Ever After is a childcare center located in an addition to Ms. Loving's home. The center features a restroom, kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator/freezer, and plenty of tiled/carpeted space for the little ones to play and explore! There is a separate entrance to the daycare that opens directly outside to the fenced in backyard playground. Outside, children have swings, slides, playhouses, tree houses, sandboxes, and more toys than you can imagine for outdoor play. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, there is an above-ground pool that Ms. Loving supervises from the deck. Life jackets and toys are provided. The water in the pool is tested daily and cleaned with chlorine regularly. The pool is locked and gated when not in use, and is covered tightly, locked, and gated through the winter.

About the Day:
Ms. Loving is zoned for Ward Elementary school in Henrico County. Children may take the bus to Ward in the morning, and/or be dropped off to the center in the afternoon. Children that do not attend school may stay at Happily Ever After throughout the day, and participate in a variety of activities each day to foster their love of learning and development. Lunch is provided by the center several days/week, always with an option to bring a packed lunch from home. The menu for the week is posted, along with the morning and afternoon snacks provided.
