If the thought of leaving your best friend in a kennel while you vacation is enough to make you cancel your plans, welcome! You're our kind of people! We strive to make our home the next best thing to being home for your dog. We offer all the comforts our own dogs enjoy - full house privileges, plump furniture and beds, and most importantly, lots of love and attention.

I can promise your best friend will have the best Dog Vacation they've ever experienced. I have two grown sons who are active in veterinary practice, but are here every day to help love and provide your pooch with unprecedented ratio of dog to human love giver. I am always happy to continue and be consistent with any training you might be doing at home. I train dogs using a bonding method, so they don't associate a command and treat is the only time they receive love. The conditional love training is not a method I've used in over 10 years, But again, the goal is to show the kids a great and safe time, met new friends, feel as comfortable at my home as they do in yours so I will never change the routine that you have set, including training style and crate time as requested.

A short day or an extended stay is a social event in our home! Your dog will enjoy an incredible time while staying in our home! They will run, play, hang-out, sleep with other dogs all day and night! No cages here….the dogs get to enjoy all their primal instincts of hanging with the pack! All of a dogs needs are met and they couldn’t be more happy and content!

All doggies will enjoy a cage-free environment, unless otherwise requested by pet parents. Dogs have all day fully supervised access to the back yard and swimming pool. They are free to come and go inside and out anytime to play, relax and more, taking full advantage of their Doggie Vacation time. Everyone here is 'spoiled' and we think that's the way it should be.

All dogs must be current on their vaccines with printed proof or electronic access that I can see. The Host Info Sheet must accompany your kiddo on their first visit. I will keep it in a file for them for future stays and can update it as necessary. DogVacay should send you the form during the confirmation/booking process. Here is a link for you as well. And I will always confirm with you before your stay to be sure everything is good and do everything I can to ease any anxiety or sadness you might be feeling leaving your precious cargo behind.

Our home is professionally treated by best in industry specialty pet and human organic pest control systems every 21 days. The HVAC systems have the ductwork cleaned and sterilized often and are supported by a UV purifier system through all intakes to provide exceptionally clean and healthy air. We follow all protocols of large facilities for cleanliness, using professional and pet friendly antibacterial and antimicrobial products. We have an advanced security system that alerts you and all of us here in the unlikely event your dog crosses the geo fence without one of us walking him through it. We have all swim gear, life vests with head above water support for all sized dogs. I install ramps in all skimmer outlets in the event you have a swimmer or not, it doesn't take much to loose site of the exits, so adding the extra allows them to swim with no anxiety. I love to help dogs get over their fears of clear pool water, so please ask when we meet if I can help you with that initial reaction of terror for some. Dogs are never left outside without close supervision, and the same tag we use to keep the geo fence monitoring them can also be allowed to deactivate the pool Century System. It will sense using pressure and laser guided scanning of the entire pool to sound an alarm if anything over 5 lbs enters without their tag green lit to swim. It is an alarm that sounds for 10 minutes that can not be muted, so we are vigilant in prevention and am happy to report, it has only gone off 1x since installed, I did it for a extra cautious pet parent. I don't do live demo's any more. That was all captured on security footage so I'm glad I have that to show if curious, vs the real deal. Below of course along with the Host info sheet, is the simple list of goods your dogs will need to pack for their vacation. All property is inventoried and labeled and placed into labeled bins so treats, food, etc don't get confused or lost.

WHAT TO BRING:

Food and treats

Medicine in original containers with dispensing instructions.

Although your dog will never be left alone in the home or outdoors, please only bring chew toys like antlers or kongs, basically anything that would be safe to give unsupervised.


WHAT NOT TO BRING

Bowls (ours are sanitized stainless steel). Please only bring a bowl if you have a special needs requirement.

Bedding - We offer every dog an orthopedic Kuranda Bed, for their comfort during their stay.

Rawhide (choking risk).

Small stuffed animals or toys can destroy.

Although we take steps that are overly cautious for biting pest and keeping all surfaces and beds sanitized, please be sure your dog is using a topical or pill form of flea,tick and mosquito defense. Private boarding is much different than cattle call style pet resorts/kennels, so you dog will not be exposed to even a 1/10th of what is normally present in most facilities. During walks we use a very wide human and dog trail down a green belt that is far from all major roads, but is just a house away from my back door. Most of the dogs in my care are plenty worn out with all the fun here, but we are always happy to take yours for a nice, safe walk at your request.
