Hardin's Furniture

Joe and Virginia Hardin founded Hardin’s Furniture House in a small frame house at 305 West Kivett St. in 1949. They moved to their present location at 2404 N. Fayetteville St. in 1956. Hardin’s incorporated in 1970 after son Tal joined the business upon graduation from Appalachian State University. Tal’s wife, Gay, took over the bookkeeping duties in 1974 and continues in that position today. Their son, Brian, was the third generation to join the business in 1995 and is the company’s vice-president. Joe Hardin passed away in 1997 and Virginia died in 2005

Hardin's Furniture wants to express our sincere appreciation to the people of Asheboro and Randolph County for again naming Hardin's as their favorite place to shop for furniture for the 3rd consecutive year. For 59 years Hardin's Furniture has been privileged to serve the people of Randolph County.

For 52 years you have come to us at our current location on N. Fayetteville Street. I wish there was a way of knowing how many customers have come to shop with us. But let us say to each and every one of you who have chosen to shop with us it has been our pleasure. Mama and Daddy appreciated your business and enjoyed serving you. Brian and I certainly feel the same way. We realize you have other options. By choosing us you can be assured we intend to offer you the very best value in quality furniture anywhere.

Our founders, Joe and Virginia Hardin, were committed to sell quality furniture and bedding at affordable prices. We have been blessed with dedicated customers who have continued to call on us for their household furnishings and bedding needs. Joe used to say, "You can't do business on a one-time basis - you have to depend on your customers coming back and giving you good recommendations. If you don't have people doing that you might as well close your doors." You have continued to come back for the past 59 years.

With the challenges we are facing in the coming years, your continued support by voting for us as your favorite place to shop for furniture warms our hearts.
