Harloff Automotive was established in the 1960’s by Willy Harloff. Starting from its roots in a quonset hut rooted where the Fletcher Parkway Cost Co now resides, the business quickly picked up its pace ultimately requiring a more suitable location. In 1969, Willy transferred his ever growing business to its current location at the corner of Lowell and University perched right next to Helix High School, where it continued to flourish until his passing. The business is under new management with the same technicians that were brought up with Harloff, and the same morals Willy strived to resonate.

Harloff has always kept a strong reputation for having not only the factory level technology, but the factory level training required to approach every vehicle the correct way the first time. Harloff has established a reputation for high quality work and with that retention of generations of customers.

Harloff is one of the oldest auto repair businesses in La Mesa. Harloff still operates by Willy's high standards. Our motto is "We work on cars, but mainly we work for people." Harloff doesn't look at one's car as an opportunity to make money, Harloff see's an opportunity to help a person in need, not only by creating a less stressful repair experience, but also by creating a sense of love and comfort knowing that its employees goals are to adhere to the customers wants and needs and to ensure every customer leaves happy.

Harloff Automotive is a Bosch and AAA certified repair station. These certificates require strict guidelines be met and followed. From customer service, to facility equipment, to technician licenses, Harloff has always been adamant to keep these credentials. As a member of the AAA Club of Southern California, Harloff is open to criticism by customers. With a customer approval rating of 99%, Harloff has been quite diligent at keeping the satisfaction of its customers to the fullest. This number is calculated by a random survey of 300 completed repairs by AAA annually.
