Harrison Township is a township in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 665 at the 2000 census.Harrison Township was organized in 1858, and named for Joseph D. Harris, an early settler.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.3sqmi, of which 31.7sqmi of it is land and 3.5sqmi of it (10.01%) is water.Harrison Township is located in Township 120 North of the Arkansas Base Line and Range 33 West of the 5th Principal Meridian.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 665 people, 259 households, and 198 families residing in the township. The population density was 21.0 people per square mile (8.1/km²). There were 479 housing units at an average density of 15.1/sq mi (5.8/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 99.25% White, 0.15% Native American, and 0.60% from two or more races.
