Harry A. Bateman born in Pittsfield Ma. July 28 1941. He was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. Harry was a life long resident of Pittsfield and a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School, former member of The Berkshire County Jimmy Fund Council, Central Berkshire Bowman & I.U.E. Local 255 working as a maintenance Mechanic at the former General Electric in Pittsfield Massachusetts until his death on August 26,1992 from cancer. An avid sports fan he was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Rams & the New York Rangers. He loved hockey but his main passion was hunting & fishing he loved bow hunting. He also loved to share his knowledge of hunting, fishing and archery to anyone. Harry enjoyed life and though it was short he had a really good time.This page dedicated to his memory and to the annual fishing derby held each year to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for Children.
