Hartville Family Child Care

Hello, my name is Ashley and my mom and I are the proud owners of Hartville Child Care! My mom has been a childcare provider since I was little and growing up I also shared in the joy of loving, playing, and taking care of children! I absolutely love my job, I am beyond blessed to be able to do what I love each and every day. It's the most rewarding job in the world, getting the opportunity to teach children, watch them play, and grow from an infant into a child. I just could not imagine a better way to spend my days.

Our biggest priority is the child's education, 70% of brain development occurs before a child is 3 years old! And because most of the families that we care for work full time the children spend more time at our home during awake hours then they do at their home. So we personally take it upon ourselves to be sure that the children get the most out each day as possible.

We LOVE reading here, it seems like between my mom and I one of us always has a open book in our hands and a child on our lap. Reading aloud to children stimulates brain development at every age. Some people believe that reading to an infant is silly because they don't understand the story and maybe they don't quite understand "The Hungry Caterpillar" or "Goodnight Moon" but the pictures and colors stimulates their brains and helps their minds grow and reach it's full potential. Then as the child grows it becomes even more important for the children to be read aloud to and teach them the stories, reading comprehension, and letter and word recognition.

We make learning a fun experience! We have a huge back yard with a nice wooden play set, play house, and sandbox! And as I'm sure you already know from reading this post we aren't the type of childcare providers that just sit and watch your child, we actually get down and play and interact with them. We have sooo many toys, books, and puzzles for your child to play with. We are also in the process of re-doing our playroom into a jungle theme!

We also provide a preschool program here which starts around two to three years old. We started the preschool program because it was just too hard to see the children go off to preschool and leave. Most of the children we have here start coming when they're 12 weeks old and of course watching them grow and seeing them almost everyday we love the children we care for and watching them say goodbye is very sad for us. So we thought what if we could develop a curriculum and fun educational units just like a preschool and we did!! We made a schedule and each week we have a different theme to go along with the seasons, holidays, or educational themes such as ocean week, zoo week, circus week, etc. We have a different theme for all 52 weeks! We do different crafts, learning activities, read books, and eat snacks that go along with that theme.

We're located in the Uniontown/ Hartville area which is part of the Lake Local School District (Lake Township). We can watch your child at anytime during these hours-- Mon- Fri 6am- 5:30pm. We charge $30 per day per child. We also work with families that have children with food allergies, or families that are on gluten free or all natural organic diets. If you have routines or requests for your child you can trust that they will be followed. You get 2 childcare providers for the price of one! My mother and I are both Christians. There is no smoking, cursing, or negativity in our home. We live in a very nice and safe neighborhood!
