Education is prevention and learning what self-care options you have may eliminate unnecessary co-pays for drugs, doctor visits, and hospitalizations.

I obtain my information from doctors and researchers who are respected in the field of medicine and
are affiliated with leading hospitals and medical schools. Illness cannot be approached by just treating symptoms alone. I approach physical conditions by taking into account the physical, nutritional, emotional, environmental, and spiritual (value based) aspects of your health condition.

If you have already been diagnosed we will gain a better understanding of your condition and how to
alleviate your symptoms. I will help you communicate better with your doctor to make sure you get
your health questions answered on treatment options and lifestyle changes. If you do not have a diagnosis, but are concerned with symptoms, we will review what aspects of your health you’d like to improve and what additional information you are seeking.

I have come across many people that have been diagnosed with hypothyroid (low thyroid) and many have low energy and/or feelings of coldness. Together we would pick which of these aspects listed below are important to you, and we would start our discussion there.
Nutrition: how certain foods affect thyroid gland function
Environment: how environmental chemicals affect the thyroid and other endocrine glands
Emotional: how stress creates hormones that affect the thyroid and other glands
Physical: the physical structure of the gland and how it relates to other glands, the hormones it
produces and what the body needs to make them
Spiritual: how your values or spirituality come to play as spiritual practices can reduce stress and give us
a sense of well-being.
