Heart Beets Farm

Heart Beets Farm was started by Stephen and Sarah Murray in 2014. We rent land from Kettle Pond Farm, which is 35 acres of mixed-use farmland located between the Taunton River and Assonet Neck in Berkley, MA. Alex and Chris Houtzager own Kettle Pond Farm and it has been certified Organic since 2007. Starting in 2014 we are also renting land from one of our long time members. This new space will give us more opportunities to grow more vegetables and cover crops.

We currently grow vegetables on roughly 2 acres. Our main objective is to grow the most nutritious food possible using the best practices. The majority of our efforts are put towards vegetable production with some time focused on small-scale animal production. We sell mainly through a growing CSA community, on site Farm Stand and local Farmers Markets.
