HeartLand Longhorns

We've raised meat for ourselves for many years and decided to expand to sell meat at local farmer's markets and from our farm.

We are a licensed meat broker and all meat is USDA inspected.

Our animals…..
We raise the highest quality, Longhorn/Angus Cross Beef.
Occasionally we purchase a cow or bull from all-natural, grass-fed sources. Otherwise all animals are born and raised on our farm. We do not use artificial insemination to breed our cows.
Our breeding program produces the leanest meat qualities from the Longhorn, while maintaining that great taste you love from the Angus. It’s a healthy choice, from our farm to your table.

What do they eat?
Our animals have access to pasture, hay, and a small amount of corn. The hay and non-gmo corn are grown on our farm. They are not “finished” with anything other than the grass, non gmo corn , and hay. They drink city water and pond water with acceptable sources of runoff. No Antibiotics. No Chemicals. No Hormones.

Where do they live?
Our herd is free range, kept in natural conditions with freedom of movement using sustainable rotational-grazing farming practices.

Where is our meat processed?
Our meat is processed at a USDA approved family owned processing plant. Animals encounter gentle low stress handling and care in butchering by folks who take pride in their products.
