About Us
Heights Tavern is a casual dining establishment that appeals to our diverse neighborhood with American cuisine consisting of Cajun inspired dishes and freshly made salads. Heights Tavern also offers a wide variety of craft beers, fine wines and signature cocktails. Attention to detail, courtesy, and exceptional service are the cornerstones of our philosophy at Heights Tavern. Heights Tavern is the second location in our expanding family of restaurants which includes the popular Harlem Tavern.

The Space
Heights Tavern features exposed brick with cast iron and distressed glass throughout, creating a modern, industrial feel. The main dining room boast fifteen foot ceilings with exposed duct work. The thirty foot mahogany bar and adjacent communal tables allow our customers to enjoy cocktails while watching a game or waiting for additional guests. The space is furnished with family friendly plush banquettes, two tops, four tops, and communal tables.

At 4100 square feet our main dining room and two private party rooms can easily accommodate 290 guests in comfort and style. Our outdoor sidewalk cafe extends down Broadway can seat up to 80 guests. The storefront has beautifully handcrafted Steel French doors that open up during the warmer days to the sidewalk cafe which is lined with awnings and umbrellas, allowing an opportunity to either soak up the sun or cool down in the shade.

The Affair
Heights Tavern offers a wide variety of craft beers and creative and palate expanding cocktails. Our selections range from IPA and Wheats to locally sourced and seasonal favorites. We will continue to strive to connect with the neighborhood by asking our customers for suggestions as to what beers and liquors to stock.

Our chef Darren Pettigrew is Dublin born, London schooled. As the one time chef of Ulysses and owner-chef of Stella Maris he is on board to create an American bistro in Washington Heights. Mr. Pettigrew represents the new Ireland - the one with chic dining scene cooking up worldly, inspired dishes. Together with the owners of Harlem Tavern, Mr. Pettigrew has created a menu comprised of the highest quality ingredients that will cater to the entire neighborhood and focus on continuously changing specials that will awe and entice while maintaining an affordable price.

Community Building
We believe that maintaining a good relationship with local community groups can is beneficial to both the neighborhood and all those involved. We will be able to provide an environment and location that will suit the needs of a wide range of people. In the past the partners have been involved in numerous events at their other locations that have included charitable auctions, fundraisers and political rallies for everyone from local to national government. We look forward to having the same mutually beneficial relationship with our new neighbors. Heights Tavern will create over 100 jobs. We are hiring from within the community and will also provide internship opportunities for students aspiring to be part of the hospitality industry.
