Even for patients who have insurance, a health crisis often becomes a financial crisis. Uninsured medical expenses place a devastating financial burden on as many as 1 in 2 Americans.

For more than 30 years HelpHOPELive has been showing community fundraising volunteers how to bring together a network of relatives, friends and neighbors in fundraising efforts to help cover the costs of uninsured medical expenses. These efforts play a critical role in helping patients recover and maintain their health and independence.

HelpHOPELive manages all of the funds raised and pays bills directly, helping patients and their families focus more on their treatment and recovery while providing accountability to donors who can be sure their funds will be spent for their intended purposes.

Because HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit, the financial support we provide to patients and their families does not jeopardize their medical coverage status. Contributions are also tax deductible to members of the community who support these efforts.

Since 1983, we have helped thousands of people raise millions of dollars to cover a wide range of medical expenses including out-of-pocket costs for transplants, catastrophic injuries and illnesses.
