For 15 years, The Hempest, a hemp shop in Northampton, MA, has been passionate about natural hemp-based products, and cannabis education and reform. In response to the state’s legalization of medical marijuana, and a fast-growing cultural awareness of the myriad health benefits of cannabis, we are inspired to expand our offerings.

For 12,000 years, cannabis has been cultivated and used by humans not only for its natural fibers and the health benefits experienced by inhalation and ingestion, but also for the benefits received through topical application. While people experience the plant’s topical healing properties through self-application, the overall health benefits are enhanced when combined with the healing power of touch.

Our belief in the powerful union of sacred plant medicine and body-based healing, has moved us to create HEMPEST WELLNESS: a healing center where people can receive the benefits of non-psychoactive cannabis applied topically through various modalities of hands on and energetic healing sessions.
