The Hemphill County Sheriff's Office operates a full range of Law Enforcement duties and responsibilities. The Sheriff maintains the operation of the Office and the Chief Deputy serves as second in command over all department operations. The Sheriff's Office enforces the laws of the State of Texas, including but not limited to: criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, accident investigations, management of the jail, civil process and many other responsibilities.
