Since 1989, Henderson has centered on the conviction that our children learn best when taught collectively. Our classrooms include a cross-section of the city’s larger population -- general education students, students with disabilities, and kids considered talented and gifted – all learning from and growing with one another. We believe by integrating children both educationally and socially, we can instill an appreciation of the differences and promote an integral acceptance of others. And, most importantly, we believe our inclusive classrooms foster each child’s sense of responsibility for the collective whole. We are Better Together!
