Herbert Hoover Elementary School

We are very excited to provide a forum to offer information to our parents, staff, prospective employees, alumni and the general public to engage in meaningful discussions related to what we do at Hoover School. We believe that this form of collaboration can help build strong relationships with our families, staff and our community at large. This forum will not replace our existing means of communication to reach, teachers, staff, and district administrators.


1. Be respectful of others, communicate in a courteous manner. The site is regularly monitored and any inappropriate, personal attacks or offensive post will be removed promptly. Inappropriate or offensive posts include:

Post that are obscene, libelous, and present danger of the commission of unlawful acts on school premises, violation of school rules, comments of a commercial nature, political activity, and comments that constitute discrimination or harassment or bullying, the posting of names, assignments, grades, attendance data, photographs, video, or likenesses without the permission of the students’ parents or guardians.

2. If you wish to share a link, status update, photo or post, please note that the views and comments expressed are those of the users and do not necessarily reflect the views of Hoover School or the Palo Alto School district.

3. Hoover School also does not endorse a specific commercial product or service and does not imply endorsement or recommendation of that product or service by the district. Furthermore, any links, photos, comments or references to outside programs, services, companies (non-profit or for profit) are neither affiliated with nor endorsed by PAUSD.

4. District employees who participate in official district social media platforms shall adhere to all applicable district policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, professional standards related to interactions with students.

5.Communications through official district social media platforms are not private and employees, students, and community members must not share confidential information concerning District employees, students and families. Staff must verify that photo release forms been completed and that permission has been granted by the student’s parents or guardians before using the photo or likeness in any media.
