Heron Hill Retreat

Heron Hill is a family friendly, Christian-themed vacation home just minutes from Glendale Lake Marina and Prince Gallitzin State Park. Sitting on a hilly 1.5 acres, it offers four bedrooms, three baths, a fully-equipped kitchen and a peek-a-boo lake view from the picture window in the living room. The house also has a theater room in the basement and a pool table/game room on the main level for evening or rainy day enjoyment. The yard offers beautiful, rural mountain views as well as a fire pit and room for yard games or running off childhood energy. The location is peaceful and relaxing, and surrounded by the beauty of God's creation.

The rental includes use of two single kayaks and one tandem kayak located in the rental racks at Range Road boat launch. Pontoon boats are also available for rental from Glendale Lake Marina. Hiking maps of Prince Gallitzin State Park are at the house. The trails range from challenging to family enjoyable and provide a chance to enjoy the woods and areas around the lake. Several offer excellent lake views.

Many attractions are within a reasonable drive of the house, including the cities of Altoona, Johnstown, and State College. However, one need not travel far to find sites of historical and cultural interest. Outdoor enthusiasts will have no trouble finding ways to fill their time. Just relaxing and reconnecting with friends and family is always an option and highly encouraged!
