Harrison French started his architecture practice in 1990 in his home town of Bentonville, which offered familiar faces and rapid growth.
In 1994, a retail giant, Walmart, called on him to help remodel existing stores. At the time, French had 3-4 employees.

By 2004, Harrison French and Associates was a 67-person firm. A decision was made to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services by hiring key engineers to fulfill a growing need with clients. This flourished, and in 2009, fire protection services were added to complement existing services and fill the needs of clients.

In 2010, civil engineering services were added with a specific attention to site development expertise to fill a niche with rapid roll-outs. In 2012, structural engineering services were added.

Today, HFA provides in-house, complete architecture and engineering packages for the production of construction documents, saving our clients time and money. HFA has 200+ staff and additional offices in Boston, MA; Fort Worth, TX; and Mexico City.

Our emphasis is customer service with friendly staff that communicates technical issues clearly with the client.

HFA is licensed in 50 states and has permitted over 8,000 projects across the United States since 1994.
