The original HiDef was developed and built by Jose Luis Reynoso and was the premier recording facility in the region and state of Montana.

HiDef Studios was the premier spot to record and mix for many years. HiDef Studios lead engineer, Steven Mercury Lance, purchased the studio, changed the legal name to High Definition Studios and expanded it to offer additional products which include the "Radio Ready" product that entails extensive editing and pre-radio production, and music video production. High Definition Studios has since retained the shortened name HiDef as a nick name. HiDef has recoded and produced award winning albums across multiple states.

With its new location in Casper, Wyoming, High Definition Studios offers state of the art recording equipment, a piano room with a $30,000 grand piano for pianists to record with, an expanded booth to fit an entire drum kit and a band, and a stand alone vocal booth for exquisite vocals.

High Definition Studios focuses on QUALITY and not QUANTITY and DOES NOT charge by the hour, only FLAT RATE basis offering the artist to fully relax and get the BEST recording possible.

Mixing by Steven Mercury Lance is offered in house at a discount to Wyoming residents.
