Seagate & BCB has named the development after a tarpon fishing related phenomenon that is known to serious anglers worldwide. Due to the unique geography of Boca Grande Pass, the new and full moon phases in May and June produce strong tides known as hill tides that flush millions of crab out of Charlotte Harbor and into the pass. Thousands of tarpon congregate the inside of Boca Grande Pass, known as the hill, and wait for the powerful tides to flush the crab down. When a hill tide occurs, the tarpon fishing experience is beyond compare.
