What all is Vermont known for?

The beautiful Green Mountains, the University of Vermont, micro breweries, Ski resorts, Lake Champlain (one of the largest freshwater lakes in the country), quaint country villages, and Maple trees! Beyond being the official state tree of Vermont (the Sugar Maple specifically) and providing the lush green landscape we so dearly enjoy, the Maple tree also gives us the gift of pure Vermont Maple syrup every spring.

That's where we come in. Hill Top Maple is a recently revived farm offering pure Vermont maple syrup and other maple products. We are located in beautiful Saint Albans, Vermont in the Northwest corner of the state (Franklin County if you'd like to get exact) on our expansive hill side farm.

Few have more respect for the land and regard for the trade than our owners, Marc and Rachel Lebel. Hill Top Maple was started over 15 years ago and handed down to Marc by his late father Marcel in 2009. True craftsman in every endeavor, Marc and operations manager Jeff recently rededicated the enterprise to excellence with a sweeping upgrade of the sugarhouse and the installation of over 8,000 additional taps bringing the 210 acre farm up to nearly 18,000 taps.

Hill Top Maple remains a family owned and operated sugarbush under the day-to-day care of operations manager Jeff Choiniere. Regular hikes into the Hill Top woodlands ensure the taps are set and ready for the sap to flow. An early warming cycle yielded 14 barrels and put all the improvements to the test. With this litmus test passed, the farm is now ready for full production.
