Hilltop Tavern, Ltd.

Hilltop Tavern Ltd. was established in Iowa City at the end of Prohibition in 1933, and we’re proud to still serve up cold drinks and good times to North-siders in the original location.

We are a well-loved neighborhood bar, home to a local pool league. We also host euchre tournaments and a variety of arcade games. If you need a place to throw a party, Hilltop Tavern is more than happy to accommodate, and there will never be a booking fee. You can order hot wings, burgers, and a variety of fried munchies to satisfy all your late night cravings - out kitchen is open til 1:00 AM Monday through Saturday.

Our full bar has daily happy hours, and we’re proud to end the week with all day Draft Day on Fridays. We are a bar that believes in table service, so come on in, sit down, and let us serve you!
