Hilltown Land Trust was founded in 1986 by dedicated volunteers who wanted to save the Krug Sugarbush in Chesterfield from development. We serve thirteen rural towns in western Massachusetts (Ashfield, Chester, Chesterfield, Conway, Cummington, Goshen, Huntington, Middlefield, Plainfield, Westhampton, Williamsburg, Windsor and Worthington) and have permanently protected over 3,000 acres of land. We are conservation partners with the Trustees of Reservations, the oldest and one of the largest conservation organizations in the state, with whom we share a staff person who serves as our Executive Director.
