In March of 2013, the Museum Board of Directors purchased a historic building in downtown West, Texas for the museum.
Presently, renovations are being made to this building, which was built in 1896. Planned exhibits will showcase the early ancestors, businesses, churches, city leaders, farming and ranching, and the impact of Czech culture on the town. The museum would not be complete without a tribute to the heroes of the April 17, 2013, fertilizer plant explosion.
The History of West Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
