About Us

Since 2002, we have deeply been proud to serve the La Crescenta and La Canada area in providing a nurturing and wonderful experience in educating many children through their school studies.
Our vision and goal is to continue this good tradition, while implementing a new and better educational program that serves your child’s learning to its fullest potential.
From our experience, the three most important subjects in school are reading, writing, and mathematics. We believe that a thorough understanding, practice, and knowledge for these subjects help students achieve high success in other school subjects and standardized tests (ie. STAR, ITBS, ISEE, SSAT, SAT, and other gifted programs).
To ensure an effective and successful outcome, the teamwork of the student, with the correct curriculum, and the support of great teachers and parents can lead to a great educational foundation.
The proper curriculum works together with the student to take account of their strengths and weaknesses to develop a program that best fits their level. Furthermore, teachers provide guidance, motivation, and a sense for a joy in learning that encourages the student.
Holy Gate Education Center believes in this program of study and strives to fulfill such expectations of each parent.
As we also continue our study to improve and provide a great learning program, we welcome any suggestions and advices, and deeply appreciate the patience that parents have expressed, for they help us to become a better help for their children.

2002년부터 이곳 라크라쎈타/라카나다 지역에 자리잡고 사랑과 믿음으로 성실한 선도와 철저한 교육을 통해 학생들의 성품과 실력을 향상시키는데 많은 기여를 했음을 자부합니다. 좋은 전통을 바탕으로 앞으로도 더 발전된 새로운 교육방침으로 잘 접목시켜 이 지역에서 최고의 명문교육을 실현하는 비젼을 품고 계속 달려갈 것을 다짐합니다.
우리 모두는 태어날 때부터 각기 다른 잠재력과 재능과 목적을 갖고 태어납니다. 이 소중한 능력을 키우고 발휘하기 위해서는 꼭 필요한 요소들이 있는데 그 중 부모님의 신앙을 통한 관심과 사랑은 가장 중요한 부분이며, 이와함께 양질의 교육을 통한 “완벽한 기초와 꾸준한 실력으로 잘 계획된 준비”가 이루어졌을 때에야 비로서 최고의 열매로 나타납니다.
미국 교육과정은 초등학교부터 다양한 과목을 접하지만 학습내용 중 가장 중요한 세가지는 English Reading / Writing / Math 입니다. 그렇기 때문에 영재교육 프로그램, STAR , ITBS, ISEE, SSAT 를 비롯하여 SAT 에 이르기까지 이 세 영역은 평가의 핵심이 됩니다. 초등학교부터 책읽기와 글쓰기, 기본수학개념이 탄탄하면 학교성적을 비롯하여 SAT 시험까지 쉽게 고득점으로 이어집니다. 또한 영어에 자신이 생기면 사회, 역사, 과학의 개념이해, 수학 응용문제(Word Problems)등이 향상됩니다. 수학을 잘하면 물리, 화확, 생물, 고등수학등으로 성적향상 파급효과가 생깁니다.
효율적인 학력향상을 위해서는 학습주체인 학생, 커리큐럼, 우수한 교사진, 학부모님의 지원이 잘 어울어져야 한다고 생각합니다. 상담을 통한 학습 잠재력개발, 성향, 동기 등을 이해하고 개인에 맞는 진도와 교재선정은 수업의 효율성을 한층 높여줍니다. 또한 우수한 교사는 학습내용을 잘 전달할 뿐 아니라 배움에 대한 흥미를 줍니다. 본 성문교육은 학생 개개인의 특성을 이해하여 커리큐럼을 짜고 트레이닝받은 우수한 교사로 학부모님들의 기대에 부응하겠습니다.
그럼에도 부족한 부분이 있다면 즉시 수정하고 철저히 보완해서 귀댁의 자녀들을 믿고 맡길 수 있는 정직하고 실력있는 이 지역 최고의 교육기관으로 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.
앞으로도 좋은 결과를 달성하기 위해 서로의 신뢰속에서 나타나는 부모님들의 어떤 충고와 격려도 고맙게 여기며 항상 공부하며 발전해 나가는 원동력으로 삼아 우리 자녀들의 밝은 미래를 위하여 무엇을, 어떻게 해 주어야 할 지를 고민하고 결정하려는 부모님들과 그 긴 여정에 동참하고자 합니다.
